Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. 14Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.

James 5:13-15

At Saint Andrew’s we minister to one another in a variety ways. Our Pastoral Care Team meets monthly to pray for members of our congregation. Visitors bring communion to and friendship to home-bound members on a regular basis. We send cards and make phone calls to members in the hospital, celebrating milestones or mourning losses. We also offer practical assistance such as meals and transportation to parishioners in need. A group of talented parishioners knit prayer shawls, baby blankets, hats and scarves which we share with local hospices, NNICUs and shelters as well as our members. All of therse are tangible ways we share God’s love with others.

As one member put it, “At St. Andrew’s we really care for one another.”
